Simple nutrition for families

Tauranga is THE BEST place to come on holiday. There is so much to do , and I’m sure many of you are heading down this way for lots of family time this Summer. For those of you who enjoy eating out … or those who will need to help ease the dishes and meal prep load , I have written down all my favourite family friendly eateries in and around this area. Of course all have excellent coffee as that is what us Mummas’ need to survive !  This is just a small selection of great child friendly food places around the area . I am sure there are many more and I will make it my mission to keep on exploring them!

  1. Pacifica, Papamoa

WHY: Walk through the café , and the garden centre out to an excellent fenced outdoor area for kids with a sandpit, slide, swings and even chickens.  My 3 year old loves to collect the bags of chicken food at the counter for the chickens, collect the eggs then deliver to the friendly chefs in the kitchen. There are umbrellas for hot sunny days and blankets for cold ones.  There is a well priced kids lunch meal and fluffy and the BLT bagel for adults is fresh and tasty. Coffee is awesome too! There is also colouring in pencils and paper for enteraining little ones
